Client needs and challenges

This beautiful design was conceived by the client together with their architect. The main challenge was to create a staircase that functions as a luxurious architectural centerpiece of the home and seamlessly integrates into the overall design. Several important parameters had to be considered for this project, including the length of the staircase, which exceeds 6 meters, a height approaching 4 meters, the inability to anchor the staircase to the stone wall, and the need to attach the staircase to a metal I-beam due to the presence of a wooden floor on the first floor.

Why they chose us

The architect contacted Scalin for our renowned precision, and our concrete expertise.

Our Solution

To meet the dimensions requirements, we decided to create reinforcement based on the length of the staircase to make it self-supporting. We welded the reinforcement directly to the metal I-beam for the top fixing.

“The staircase fits perfectly in the overall design, and adds character to the architectural project with its raw concrete and its crémaillère”.
